Artist Background

Drawing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.  As a child, it was an obsession.  My mother frequently reminds me of the times when I used the walls of my room when paper was not avaiable.  I have been fortunate to work with other artists and instructors that have helped me develop my ability, but I will always be a student searching for the perfect painting.

My world is viewed through my artistic eye as I constantly search for new material to paint.  Oregon's natural beauty provides the ideal setting for the artist and it has inspired me to achieve new levels of artistic ability.

It seems that there is always more to learn and a great picture to be painted.  Art is such a wonderful outlet for creative talent.  I am currently using watercolor, colored pencils, collages, pen and ink, and acrylics.  My subject matter ranges from animals, flora's, landscapes, and human forms.  My paintings are held in over 75 private collections and are shown in Nothwest galleries.
